Happy Wednesday...

it's been so warm here...warm?...truthfully, hot...over 90 degrees yesterday...

today?...the promise of 72 and cooling...

perfect for the Thursday plans...

a trip to Disneyland...."the happiest place on Earth"....

living in Southern California has it's drawbacks....crowds, traffic, expensive...

but there are a few secrets that we don't share...

the best beaches, the best month of perfect weather, the shortcuts to getting around...

I laughed yesterday when I read on the internet "10 Things You Wouldn't Know About Southern California"...laughed because they were true...

such as, all the freeways begin with "the"....the 405, the 91, the 101....

there were other facts listed...all of them true....yoga mats and flip flops ....all year long...

anyway, because we are at the peak season of life here...a day trip to Disneyland is planned

it will be Zoe's first.....with Auntie taking here....a special day for them both

me?...I'll be working as usual and saving my time off for the next vacation...

over my lunch hour today...
I'll be knitting, planning my summer garden planting, pondering on how to catch grey water, where I could hang a clothesline, and what color scheme would I love for the back patio?...

a trip to the feed store for the hens should be included in there too...

I forgot to add when posting these pics...

"Top This" is the little skein name for the children's hat...it comes with the animals, or ball, a few styles to choose from.....the large size will fit a small adult...

have a wonderful day.....happy knitting...

p.s....last night I attempted to sew a small project bag.....it was a total flop....
tonight....I'll be spending time with my seam ripper....

the pocket hat was knit for me.....
it's from my stash yarns, a blend of wool and alpaca and wonderfully soft....

but since Mother Nature is confused outside with summertime warmth....this hat is folded and tucked away...

who knows when it will reappear....I have a weekend to the mountains coming up...

let's hope I can do a bit of cabin porch sitting with my beanie on my head...and not in my pocket!!
