when I was little I liked to use these...
but in todays economy I'm using these a lot more....
but when all is well again in the world....I'll be driving this.
Yesterday was a total success...in every sense but one, I knew the day would hold an unexpected surprise..
but let's start with the good stuff first,
the postman was given the boxes for Team Sicily, then it was off to the hardware store......
in the hardware store parking lot we agreed an afternoon of antiquing should be the next destination
but first we needed something to eat..so we went to a place named after this:
While we waited
for our table we met Pogo.....his weekly routine
includes lunch at The Filling Station
Not on anyone's diet plan soooo good though |
This tasted even better than it looks |
We really needed a good walk after that meal so we headed down the sidewalk past the streets gardens....
to here....a landscape nursery, this is just the entrance area..
We still needed to walk off that meal so we continued along the street,
past more gardens....
to a favorite shop that when I walk through the front door.....I know I'll be leaving with less cash in my wallet on the way out...
this bed looked so inviting after thick sliced, butter covered, syrup dripping french toast...a nap....
this is just inside the front door...I really wanted to take that bed home...the entire store is one room after another of wonderful, fun, and inspiring treasures
I couldn't take the bed but I could bring home the wonderful smell for my bedroom |
I came home with new ideas, and this....
it's going to be filled with flowers, birdhouses, flags.....
there were dozens of things I wanted to bring home but this was a "must have" to have fun with this Fall & Christmas season...I'll post pictures after it's hung and filled....
it's going here.....
to go along side here.....
all this activity made me think about food again...so I made this.
sausage & potato & leek soup...
check out Red Yarn blog for the recipe it's a good one |
Man In Black created another pizza he didn't trust me that the soup would be a winner |
this will be tomorrow night's baking project |
so I picked up the camera and put down the ladle and played with a macro lens...
have a good week friends....
I'll be back in a bit,
it's time for a bit
of knitting
I almost forgot to tell you -
the surprise of the day?
a parking ticket
while Man In Black & I
shopped for hours and hours
oops....
this is why I need to wear my glasses,
and why he should never listen to me
"ya, this is good... park here"

Looks like a fun day, one that I would love, including the breakfast! Speaking of tickets, if I owned that car there would be tickets in my future..Eeeek!
