Dirty Cars...Dirty Yards....

The winds died down...and left town completely.....

The brush fire in town was knocked down quickly and the neighboring county received fire support for the structures that were lost and that area was extinguished before the end of the afternoon.

Life continued as usual as the lunch hour arrived and folks continued to sit outside in the warmth of the sun as the dried leaves and dust whirled around their heads....dirt in my food wasn't an appealing prospect so I went a different route....

This looked good to me for lunch.....

after all....
it was in the low 80's.....
November 2nd....
Hot Cocoa Chocolate right???

Inside the ice cream shop I met with three friends.
The Hawaiian Bag Knitter finished up a scarf to wear that night to a birthday party....
mohair....to wear that night....
remember it's 80 + degrees outside....
the hot pink yarn???
wondering what to knit...
more leg warmers perhaps
See these legs??.....
she's wearing wool leggings...with flip flops...
this my Mid West - East Coast living friends....
is Southern California attire in November....regardless if the Santa Ana winds are howling and blowing and fires burn.

We dress by the month on the calendar....otherwise....we'd never get to wear anything warm and fuzzy.

I was thinking last night...I think my highest heating bill during winter was $69.00....

Tomorrow....the forecast is for a "cold snap"....in other words....low 60's.

That's scarf and fingerless gloves wearing weather my blogging buddies....yee haw!!!

Have a great day...see you soon...I have a picture and new pattern to post next --- it includes scissors!!

So good to hear that the fire danger is gone. - I love how you gals dress by the month, not letting the weather dictate to you what you will wear. xo

I like the leg warmer and flip flop look....it's essential if you're gonna live where it's warm and knit! Can't wait to see what happens with that pink yarn!

Love the look of that ice cream. We have an ice cream shop within walking distance that serves choc marsh ice cream too!
I can understand leg warmers and flip flops. The other day, I had to wrap my head in a thick scarf in addition to wearing a thick jacket to keep my head from freezing in my air cond office. My head was so cold, it was literally in pain.
