The weekend began with a trip to a fruit stand

Not healthy....
but really tasty

So this "relaxing" plan is really working out....

I started the weekend on Friday afternoon at the farmer's fruit stand, driving by seeing strawberries I knew I had to take a basket home.

That night we went to the movies to see War Horse - it was like watching a lil'l bit of "Babe", a whole lot of "My Friend Flicka" with a bit of  "Gone With The Wind" thrown in at the end.
Funny, I came home thinking my dog was a bit like "war horse"....not the lap dog - she's a ninny.
But Gina, she has "heart"..... lots of heart.

Our kitchen is in need of attention.....I'm following the old adage "if it's not broken, don't fix it".
Well, it's broken.
Man In Black and I are great shoppers...we go, we look, we decide, done.
Some folks have to go twelve places and ask twenty people what they think -
We look at each other - "you like it?" "do you?" if the cost doesn't knock us on the floor -
decision made.

Saturday my brother - check out his blog on the side bar - (Spare Parts n Pics) and sister-in-law (D.G) invited us out to take in the sunset at the coast......

so off we went with cameras at the ready....did I tell you the weather was beautiful?????

I'm talking perfect...no wind...warm temps....no crowds.....not sure where everyone was but it sure

made for a wonderful afternoon.

Today - I'm spending with The Hawaiian Bag Knitter at her condo in San Clemente....the beach
She's a short walk to the ocean, we'll take knitting, camera .... wine...it'll be fun

She has five children.....

it was a great idea on his part.....
That makes for a very happy wife.
