ohhhhh soooo messssyyyy.

it was messy.....

messy in the kinda way dumping a bag of flour all over your house would be....

who knew?

I thought we'd pop off the tile and wham bam thank you mam you're ready for the new countertop...

well...that's not quite how it went....

while waiting for the countertop - I knit new dishcloths...lots of dishcloths.....

we're almost done....with the kitchen....but....

the cleaning!!!! it's a mess everywhere - in every room a fine powder from the concrete removal.

oh well, sunshine, temps in the 70's....perfect to throw open the doors and windows and put on the gloves.

I'm tempted to use the leaf blower inside - ummmm.....?

But....while waiting and knitting dishcloths.....I got a cold.

So.....I went and got Lap Dog and we both curled up under a quilt...

and watched Julie & Julia and Must Love Dogs....and hoped someone would come and clean up the mess.

Wow! Its sounds like quite a project going on there.
I am glad to hear that other people do that too.
When the mess becomes to overwhelming, I retreat with a book/ movie and curl up with kitties and puppies and hope that it will all go away....I am always shocked when I back in and its still there:)

Oh dear...Many moons ago, I was a housekeeper 3 days a week in an Executive(s) home. The young couple had nanny quarters made on the 3rd floor. The entire floor was taped off with heavy plastic to prevent the fine dust from going down to the lower 2 floors and the basement....hahaahaa...very funny! I was cleaning the fine dust for weeks, maybe it even went into months...Good luck with the clean up! xo

A little over a year ago we had the tile flooring ripped up and had wood floors installed. I left and went to my sisters' for two days. When I got home my hubby had cleaned everything so I wouldn't have to see it. He said it was everywhere. Pictures please when all is done.

Oh yeah i remember the remodel mess we had a few years ago and oh boy it is messy. Sounds like you are handling it very well, retreating with the puppy and a movie sounds like a perfect break. Cant wait to see the finished project over there!

A dusty mess, but hopefully worth it. Looking forward to photos of the new kitchen!
