Downtown Peddling

This month begins the downtown weekly farmer's market....

So out came the peddles with my new Walmart bicycle basket - not the cutest one on the road but scores high points for being most functional...pops right off the handle bars attachment and has a handle for shopping!

Anyway....I love the market....love the sense of community in the air as everyone around me is enjoying the same....a new band playing each week...food, produce...beer garden...seeing neighbors and chatting to catch up on lives and home improvement projects....

For me...a perfect way to end the work week and relax before plowing through Friday at the desk...

There were little dogs....

And great big dogs....

And chill'n dogs

Elderly sharing with the youth....

People love "red"

I left my bicycle outfit at home

a little bit of county while you shop

Chinese food for dinner tonight....finishing the little "extra" for the latest knitting project...searching for an old beach cruiser type bike tomorrow at an early morning garage sale....gardening....dinner with friends....lemon bars...Sunday??? I'm leaving that open for surprises from Life....it often reminds me that I'm not in charge...enjoy the pictures...posting more tonight...happy weekend friends!!

I love farmers markets. In Florida I could ride my bike to the market and spend the entire morning shopping and talking. What fun! Great post!

It looks like a wonderful day! And, I think your bike basket is awesome.

My favorite thing about fresh markets are all the gorgeous flowers. And the people. And the dogs.

We used to have a farmer's market in downtown Glendora, but then they closed it. I miss it. I would love to buy gorgeous flowers and organic produce.
