sort'a like gidda' along....I'm in the saddle knitting from my stash - although I did have to make a stop to pick up a couple of extra skeins (on clearance so the pickin's were slim)
I'm knitting the "Moderne Baby Blanket" from the Mason Dixon (1st book), it's the perfect pattern since I don't really have the exact amounts of yarns needed and I can wing it as I go along...I'm mixing cottons,
mostly organic cotton....some...well, crappy cotton.
since this will be for a baby the "crappy cotton" will be used for the smaller blocks and the softest used on edging and centers - with the dozens of washings it'll receive cotton is cotton so it'll all blend together
all garter stitch...soft n' squishy..perfect for squeezing the baby bundle held inside it's rows
the book...a recommendation from my daughter - she's one of those readers who loves hardback books to enjoy the smell of the paper pages.....we need readers like her to keep the industry from disappearing
there's no baby for this blanket yet.. it'll be tucked away for the next time a gift is needed |
or charity event...those are "most special" babies |
the M & M's in the mason jar??? popped into my mouth while reading |
