Breezy.

zoe's summer blanket is finished just in time to mail off to Sicily....where it's too warm to be needing it...

the warm summer has begun...

the little bear dressed in a bunny suit is a pattern by Debbie Bliss....
I made it before we knew zoe would be coming into our lives....
she gets the blanket now.....the teddy comes later after I reattach his tail...
his little super soft tail has been pulled and loved by kids and adults alike....
it's not zoe proof..the hands of a one year old can destroy a pom pom in no time...

I'm usually good about being able to pass on the temptations of the ice cream freezer sections of the market.....that was until I saw this.....

Man In Black wasn't interested........it's all mine......mine...mine....mine...

while visiting a garden nursery over the weekend....

I spotted this buried on the ivy wall.....

and this was supposed to be a "no shopping" weekend....

.....old rusty ironwork........I love it.....the plan is to put it around the sides of the back patio....
since Man In Black's list of projects is getting longer by the day....it may be awhile before I'm hanging a bloomin' basket inside that window opening...

happy monday.... I have to go back to work today.....

so I can pay for someone else's rusty ironwork that I hauled home because I was certain it's so cool and will be wonderful on my patio...

it's covered in grape leaves.....

it feels Italian...

it's waiting alongside the old curbside wicker chair that's not been painted yet...

it's easy to see what I'll be doing during my summer's vacation...

The blanket is so pretty! the lace is unusual and the flecks of colour in the white yarn adds a bit of interest. and Wow you knit like the wind :)
The bunny is too adorable, he or is it a she has bunny buttons!! I have never knit toys before. The small bits are likely to drive me crazy!! But maybe one day, when I have a little grandkid of my very own, I just might, haha who knows?
Oh that rusty iron window is so european - with grapes and that arch. Love how you can envisage a basket inside the window. I wish I had such an artistic creative eye!
Thanks for praying for my friend!

The blanket is beautiful and the bunny is just too cute!

I love the iron work piece! We have a great store down here that has tons of things from old houses. One of our favorite things to do is wander through and dream!

Oh, I certainly would not be able to pass by that Ironwork as well.
Your heart truly is in Italy isn't it?
Between the ironwork, the Gelato and the very sweet blanket:)
Have a very nice Monday, Friend.
