the circus is coming to town

they're on the road....
in the backseat....for 10 hours
with no idea that soon,,,,very soon now, they'll be scared to their wits end....

but it's necessary...because it's just too far to walk, ride, or swim to California from Italy

two years ago our son and daughter-in-law moved to Sicily while he worked on a special project...

since the dogs were part of the family....they went along too.

we'll never know since they can't talk the fear they had flying...
the inside of the kennels show evidence of terror
let's hope since they are now seasoned travelers and this trip will involve only one flight...

a quick takeoff and one smooth landing and they'll be back in the green SUV that will be a welcome familiar memory

Meet Margo and Klaus...seldom do they ever lay down....this was the result from the local dog park

Margo, a special needs dog...medicine and lots of activity since she's too smart for her own good
Klaus, a tender hearted boy who is never without a dirty ball and will follow you each and every step you take...
and wants to sleep on you...
not near you....on you.
so you can't slip away without him knowing.
Loyal...this dog loves his family...and will lick you until you can't stand it one more time.
even in the dark while you try to sleep if you turn your head his direction...
Ball Boy and Smarty Pants
they've enjoyed three homes, countless beaches, neighboring dogs, and a new addition to the family since they arrived in Sicily...

until their family returns in a couple of months they'll be sheltered between our home and a friends..

if they would quit trying to hunt the house cat and stressing the poor dear until she licks herself bald from stress they could stay....but...the cat is older and this is her home.....so she wins out.

they'll spend one night at the kennel before the flight...a chance to eat and drink from the car trip.

and then....it's up ....up....and away.....

keep your fingers crossed.......I'll let you know when they've landed...

Oh, they are so sweet, they look like pit bulls or a mix of. Our Maggie is an English Staff. and our Jack is a Pit/Doberman mix..they are such good dogs.

Soon they will be on the ground and being loved up by everyone..I wonder if they will have an accent? Ha!
