Doggy Road Trip....

We've made an adjustment for awhile with the dogs....they're going to visit and stay awhile with Daisy...

a bit of a drive North....

and then a bit East....

and then a bit off road'n

all the while I did this......

and ate that.....

and followed to where

you'll find Daisy...

she's a sweetheart of a lab mix...and seems willing to share her home and owner for a bit of time...

until Team Sicily wraps up the details of life overseas and return home...

The dogs will be returning to our home every now and then for another visit...

when all the loved ones return home...

our house will be very full....

of love.....

On the way home we pulled off the highway to check this out....

it's the only one in the state of California I've been told....
no, not an asphalt road....see that white sign on the left in the photo?

this....

the asphalt has been designed to play a song when your car tires roll along over the spaced patches,,

hearing it once or twice wasn't enough...there's no traffic here so u-turns can go on all day long

I requested several to hear it again trying to identify the melody.....not sure what it was,
something familiar but just couldn't put my finger on it...I suppose if I'd stopped talking long enough instead of saying "this is so cool" maybe I'd have a name of the melody to share with you....

we'll be there again when picking up the dogs so I'll keep my trap shut and just listen.....

 sweet dreams my friends....

have a great week ahead....stay cool....eat well....be crafty.....

That is so cool about the road..I am now very curious as to what the tune is, I can feel an obsession coming on. Please let me know if you discover the tune..Off I go to Google it and hopefully find out.

Have a fantastic week, my friend! xo

I can sleep tonight..The road in Lancaster CA was created by Honda as a promotion of the Honda Civic. It is "The William Tell Overture" and was the theme song of "The Lone Ranger".

Goodnight xo

Doggy road trip!

Every time I see Junior MInts, I can't help but think of Seinfeld. I hope you didn't drop any into a body cavity...

I wonder how many folks drive over the musical road with no idea what they're doing, then freak out? I bet there's quite a few!

Very cool! I'm just wondering what I'd do if I missed the sign and all of a sudden heard a song playing in my car :) Thanks for sharing!

I remember hearing about that road...we will have to try it sometime! I want to drive it while eating Junior Mints too! Or maybe Hot Tamales, which is another favorite candy of mine!!
