97....95....hoping for 87 degrees....today

I came home on Friday afternoon from work....

to find a note...along side a flowering plant from Man In Black greeting me on the front porch..

and so began a great weekend of...

time enjoyed with family
made some seriously great bacon, lettuce, avocado & tomato sandwiches...
went to a restaurant that was once an old filling station - cute and old fashioned....
looked at my knitting.... stared at it wondering when this will be finished...
wondered and continued waiting for the forecast of this heatwave to end....
went to the mall for some free airconditioning....
the airconditioning ended up costing $100.00.....I should have sat on the mall benches instead of actually going inside the stores....like most of the families filling the patio furniture in the Sears department store....
watched movies with Man In Black....
thought about gardening....stood outside on the patio staring at the "still waiting pots"
and then...
went back inside to stare at them from the airconditioned familyroom
and made several trips in and out of the middle bedroom - looking...checking for last details...

all in anticipation of Team Sicily coming home....seven weeks....and our little house will be full

of love... and little feet....

enjoy your day friends....

That could be the prettiest sandwich I have ever seen.

I love the smiles.

I think you made a good call staying inside the cool house.

I think you're in SD County, right? Me too, and it has been rather rough, hasn't it? I and my sweat mustache are glad it's cooling off a bit. And that IS a lovely sandwich!
