sweet...

proper lighting
even Eric thinks she's sweet...

restoration hardware paint.....love it...
fresh, clean,and calming...
all things camping should include
(it's discontinued but I'll send you a paint chip to
match at your local hardware if you're interested)

new countertop underway..
oven and drawer pulls refurbished
curtain making.....continues

a new shelf...to hold trinkets, quilts, and every treasure I'm sure she'll be needing
question: should I stencil along the shelf trim???? I'm thinking - go for it..

the large wire basket holds the spare tires - 3
a cover is planned to hold up the geraniums, vintage green watering can
all surrounded by a picket fence guarded by a sleeping hound...

awaiting curtains...the blue platter - tin....a thrift store find!!!!
this isn't how the shelf will look...
I was just so excited I started putting everything up there

all the thrifting finds...
fits perfectly....the inside cabinets needs paint - Man In Black says not necessary
soon there'll be baskets to secure while traveling...
everything is nonbreakable..
even the pretty large white platters...
.

we traced what was left of the original decal markings...
soon another will be made to replace it along with her name
large and over the back window...."ARIEL"

she's an aristocrat lil loafer..

see? Ariel...
or the other thought...
I'm a lil mermaid in my tuna can,,,,,

not even the drainage will be free of frill...
a vintage fabric bow will complete the trim

oh so cozy at night....

recycle and repurpose..
the cashew jar??
holds screws and hardware during her restoration

we haven't begun the polishing yet...
she's in need of soap and water..
no leaks..
the window plastic was added protection by the sellers
all screens...perfect
all windows...100%....
one tiny rock hole in a single pane...easy peasy to fix
there'll be more photos to come
and then

I'll post her in all her glory as we hit the road...

now seriously....
don't ya want one of your own????
do it...Pam...
be my Sister On The Fly...

I am so excited for you! This will be so much fun, getting her all fixed up for her new life! I have been hinting...well, actually, bugging about getting an Airstream, but it can be anything...I would be thrilled with one just like your little doll house on wheels.

Have fun and I can't wait to see more! xo
