bits and pieces....

my dear dear friends..
thank you so much for your loving support...
I wish I could wrap my arms around each of you in a hug to show you how much I appreciate it...

my mom remains in the hospital with a nurse by her side...

she is being well cared for by what I consider to be Earth Angels....

I don't know where nurses come from in this world but they are a select group of people with hearts and compassion that have left me wondering.....how can I ever thank them enough for the care they give to my mother? How can they ever be aware of how much it means to us?

during the last several days I've continued on as usual....

to keep moving I've learned is the trick...

there will be rough patches during life and you must continue on.....

it's part of the lesson....

so with a bit of closet cleaning, Ebay shopping, second hand store browsing ...

new (used vintage) boots...
for happier times ahead...
sisters on the fly events
call for petticoats and boots....
and cigars
but I'm passing on that part of the activity
it's a bit like Calamity Jane and her gang...
one of the gang shoots an AK47

but that's ok... she's an Earth Angel
a I.C.U. nurse....

my ever present knitting nearby.....
how would I have ever managed in the past without this craft to center my thoughts and busy my hands?
I've always thought that things and people come in and out of your life when you need them..
knitting came to me just a short time before my life went offroad so to speak....
rocky....boulders....cliffs.....through all of that.....I'm now standing on the peak......
standing with a bright red jeep alongside.....
still standing......
and it's because of those lessons that I'm coping well with my mom's struggle...
I wish I could have learned the lessons without all those "rocks" but I'm grateful for the knowledge..

so thank you my dear cousin Vicki for taking up knitting and showing off that day many years ago that inspired me to try to knit......it's saved me.....literally....

while closet cleaning we found this tucked back in the darkness of the top closet bedroom shelf...
an old toy trailer from who knows where???? tucked on a shelf??? who knew that one day we'd have a little trailer that we'd name and decorate and come to love and we haven't even slept in it yet??

side one.......

flip it over......side two

while browsing a favorite shop recently I came across a hand stitched quilt....for $35.00...oh my!!
lots and lots and lots of red check blocks.....perfect for the "checks" of color decorating Ariel...
I thought of all the time spent on this pretty quilt and the care someone took sewing it....
I don't sew (well, I do....just not well) so I'm going to take extra care of this jem because someone out there in the world spent time and it's worth more than a mere $35.00
I'll enjoy looking at all the colors and squares while tucked snug inside my tiny trailer late at night in the darkness of a local campground....

on my bedroom wall hangs this small wooden picture made by my grandmother many many many years ago....

it's sweet.....just like she was....and the memory of this brings me comfort.....

have a wonderful day...it's almost the weekend.....hope the weather man has promised you sunshine..

thank you again for your kindess....my mom is the sweetest woman and would be extremely happy to know how kind you've treated her daughter....

I learned the trick of 'keep moving' too, it is most helpful.

Nurses are earth angels for sure, I'm so glad that your mom has a group of them and you can continue 'moving' about knowing she is cared for.

You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, my friend. xxoo

I can tell by your post that you're doing your best to keep busy; idle hands and all that. I'm so glad that you have things in your life that bring you peace, comfort and distraction.
I pray for you and for your mom. Sending hugs from the East Side.xxx

Nurses are indeed Angels, and I think you might be one too. you are loving and caring for your Mother with such compassion. Sending you a hug, and believe me knitting has saved my life and has kept me from killing my kids!
Hugs,
Meredith

It is recommended to eat 25 to 30 grams of fiber per day.
But the problem with such medication is that they really require much time and skills to prepare and use as well.

There was a lot of resistance from the public on the effectiveness of
this system but Japanese scientists who came up with
this idea were unperturbed.
