.....hatched.....and counted......

most of the current knitting projects have been finished...

still on the needles is the feather 'n fan patterned car seat blanket....

not a problem....that's an easy knit while watching this weekend's Netflix selection...The Paperboy

I'll let you know on Monday if it's a movie I'd recommend.....

the sweater and matching booties went off to a baby shower today along with the Gnome Hat....

to a first time Mom.....boy, do you remember those days???? being a first time parent????

the feather and fan blanket will be tucked away until I hear news of a baby boy somewhere out in the

world expected to make his grand entrance...family or friend...or stranger......doesn't matter....

a baby into this world is always a grand event....

we've been watching lots of "Wizard of Oz" lately as Zoe experiences for the first time "lions and tigers and bears.. oh my!!".....

isn't that the best??  to watch the expression on a child's face the first time watching the classics????

not to mention being seen on a 60" screen television......that cowardly lion is lifesized!!!!

while all this is going on...I'm thinking about Fall....

my garden being repaired, replanted....and redesigned with all my dreams from magazine pages....

.....life here continues to change with my kids just days away from moving out....

I don't want to think about the stillness and quiet that will follow.....

but a short drive down the highway and I'll see and hear all the commotion I'll be missing....

not to worry, they'll be back for Sunday suppers......

and there just might be a bag of Costco shopping at the door for them to take home....

... time to knit a few more rows on that feather 'n fan......

and after that???    a new knitted sweater for Zoe......

she woke up this morning to find me in my room with nearly every button and ribbon spool I have  across my bed.......

"up, up, up".... up on the bed for play with Nana's ribbon and duck buttons was more than tempting...

button boxes and jars full of colorful goodies ...... she was certain she should be included.....

was each and every ribbon opened and unrolled?

you betcha.....and she loved every minute of it....

will we do it again?........we will.......when she's old enough to roll 'em all back again.....

Oh the itty bitty baby knitting is always so adorable and I have forgotten how small babies are! Zoe looks so engrossed having fun with grandma. Precious times!

Sounds like a great day. She is so big now, time sure flies. Happy to hear they found a place close by. Looks like you might have time for a lil road trip to the ranch, yes? Love the sweater set, I'm ready to sit quietly with my needles just need the weather to cool a bit...
