The Pumpkin Patch...

instead of "over the hills" to Grandmother's house we go....

it was "down the highway with a cake on the lap" to grand baby we go...

Leah and Eric invited us over for dinner and to join them with Zoe's first pumpkin patch experience..

it was all so exciting...she's never seen anything like it before....

of course....the main attraction were the dozens and dozens of assorted shapes and sizes and colors of pumpkins at every turn...

neatly formed rows of pumpkins to guide your steps over clean and fresh smelling hay...

lights hung in the air across the paths from booth to booth filled with festive Carnival temptations...

with a handful of coupons you could try your hand at winning a goldfish swimming in a tiny glass bowl....if your ping pong ball could find it's way to bounce and land on top...

trains on tracks, horses on poles, saddled ponies and elephants on swinging chains were all available  for a ride...

and if you walked and followed the paths in the right direction....

you'd find yourself a few new friends....a barnyard full of waiting and eager to "meet ya kinda friend" who hoped you'd greet them with a handful of livestock fodder....

a pig....

and his friends.....

there were ducks and chickens....

goats in every size and color....

but my favorite....

the sheep.....it was odd how one sheep stopped and stood there....just stood and turned it's head around to stare at me for the longest time....? I didn't have any food in my hand....?

I was thinking to myself she was trying to tell me something....something along the lines of ...

"don't worry Dearie ....one day you will have a sheep of your very own"....

when we rounded the next bend and Zoe saw the Face Painting booth...

well, she knew what that was!!!

so to complete the evening out at the neighborhood pumpkin patch....

we brought home a Kitty Cat....

.......Zoe loves the professional makeup over the self applied bandaid to the forehead she had as her accessory for the day when leaving the house for the trip to the Pumpkin Patch...

we all had a great laugh....she was soooo serious about it....

she loves anything and everything about glamore....

she meowed all the way home....
