walking in someone else's shoes is time well spent.....

I've learned I was wrong about watching television game shows.....

Family Feud is really entertaining.....

the host is a crack up and the families under pressure come up with some of the funniest answers....

it's a bit like sitting back and watching a stand up comedy show....

I was wrong to judge how much time my Mom spends watching television....

now I understand....

it fills the loneliness of isolation brought on with aging.....

so tonight ...we'll laugh again and spend an hour with some host guy who's name I can't remember.....

watching him chuckle while families try to win money matching answers to off the wall questions....

during the day????

Mom's been enjoying lining up her little village of cornhusk dolls that have been packed away for years.....

She's remembered where and when she bought all these adorable little dolls...

She's shared stories of when she'd bring them out and decorated using them... while my Grandma was still living and they shared a little apartment together in her childhood hometown...

after the first 12 hours from unpacking the cornhusks doll explosion in her bedroom she was ready to pack 'em up again .....

so a few will stay....a few will be shared...and the remaining......?

well, they may be displayed for my memory....

one or two...on a shelf....a reminder of this special time together....

the only thing missing???

there's not a "village idiot" to be found.....

he must be off somewhere in cornhusk land...

or perhaps he is here????

the child on his mother's lap with the switch?

tonight we'll shop for a new pair of shoes....

I've walked in hers....

we both could use a new pair.....

What cute dolls. I totally get what your saying about your mom spending too much time watching television. I'm understanding more and more each day why my parents do.
