Baby Alpaca Grande.....seed stitch....

who knew chickens had little personalities?

I surely didn't .....

Bonnie has moved up the ranks to now being my favorite....

not once or twice....
but every time she'll fly or hop directly into the palm of my hand when I want to pick her up.....

sweet beautiful blue eyed little birdie....yes, blue eyes....!!!

the yarn projects are being completed....
hurray....!!!! oh joy.....glee!!!!...
this is not the norm for me.....I'm taking this as a good sign for the coming year...
find the yarn hidden and tucked away inside the house, knit the yarn (completely), and send it along to live somewhere else.....
that's the plan....
too much yarn for too long.....
I haven't been inside a yarn shop in over a year now.....
another good sign.....I've gained control over the need of gathering fibers....

the Christmas preparations and shopping are at a stand still.....not a good sign

this weekend I'll put it in overdrive and get out to the stores and finish....

when Jaclyn visited Seattle she brought back with her a gift for Mom (me, lucky meeeee)....

it's as if I'm knitting butter using this yarn.....so soft and creamy.....soon a new scarf for the weekend...

Annie is never far from my knitting....I really should knit her a new sweater for the year.....
another thing to add to the list.....
that list is getting long.....

yesterday at lunch I settled back in the car and enjoyed 60 minutes of uninterrupted knit time....

while I knit and purled myself into a relaxed state of mind I was thinking how much I miss the knit group that I'd visited a couple of years ago.....every week I'd join them during my lunch hour....
sadly the fabric/yarn shop went out of business and the search for a new gathering place began...

the wonderfully kind women, their inspirations and support.....
I've heard they're still together in a new location that would be possible for me to jet over and spend 15 minutes while at lunch during the week....

must add this to my 2014 plan.....
find my knitting buddies and tell them they've left a void only they can fill......

oh I do hope the chilly weather continues.....straight on till June.....helps with the desire for knitting when it's not 78 degrees outside and the sun is blasting through the windshield......

see you tomorrow - happy holiday preparations and I do hope you're further along than I am.....

Loving this weather too although I am okay if it warms a little in my hood. Been low 20's at night and everything is freezing... including me. But the 40's and 50's during the day has left me with some extra time on the couch with my needles too. The scarf your working on looks so luxurious, love alpaca!

Yes you should try to re hook up with the ladies, they were all so nice and I bet they would LOVE to see you again. Happy knitting friend...

Your knitting is looking very soft and yummy. I love my little knitting group, but when I am there I am usually helping everyone, so it is not a good time for me to knit. I do that at home where it is quiet.
Hugs,
Meredith
