Cute But Not Correct....

Well,

Thankgoodness the Mom I'm giving this to for her second child is NOT a knitter. I don't know what happened, the first half of the seam is loose and when I changed colors the second half seam is perfect. Oh well, I'm not taking it apart to fix it, the baby will never notice and I figure the loose seam will keep him busy as his fingers get stuck in the "too large holes".

I plan on a hat to go along with the blanket but not on the needles yet, I'm having a hard time deciding what projects to take on my Wisconsin trip - counting the days now until I leave, more details on the trip later. I'm frustrated with my yarns, I buy yarns when I don't know what pattern I'll use, now I'm picking from my selection and not happy with what I'm finding - I think I'll go with a couple of small projects for babies, one larger one for a Christmas gift. I may be the only person there knitting and some folks think it rude to knit and talk at the same time, like I can't hear and talk and have my hands busy at the same time.....so I'm taking easy patterns that won't require charts, counting, etc....

I thought I'd throw in a picture of the mohair blanket I made awhile back, it's handpainted and I have to say one of my favorites, no itchy at all. When I use it the cat comes running, she loves it and lap dog is not overly eager to share the space....

Enjoy the pictures and the rest of your week, I'm out the door to go for a nice evening walk...

Thank you Hesper!!! You have a great weekend too. I'll get the camera figured out (hopefully)so maybe this is a good thing so I'll become familiar with using it, sure wish I was better about keeping track of where I put things such as the instruction booklet!!
