Packages In The Mail

Who doesn't like getting a package in the mail??? Even if you know you mailed it to yourself? While visiting in Door County my family took me to a wonderful pottery shop owned by two very talented people. They were as nice as they could be, the selection in the shop made it difficult since everything was special. After consideration, I picked a stein for Husband, a small goblet for Mom, and a special bowl and small pitcher for myself (makes eating oatmeal in the morning special)remembering my trip. The box arrived and the shop owner included a handwritten note thanking me for visiting their store, I have to say, the pottery is even more beautiful than I remembered. I don't know if it's because it's in the house, or away from all the other pottery, but the colors are perfect.

I'm back to blogging on a regular basis now, I hope.... I seemed to have picked up a bug shortly after arriving home and have been feeling less than 100%. Today we are in for the hottest weather so far, we went from June Gloom to July Fry!!. A wedding on Saturday, next weekend out to the lake (today it's going to be 122 out there, YIKES)

Enjoy your day where ever life takes you today - I'll be at a desk with the fan going, thank you farmers out there for your work, never did find any rhubarb. Guess I'll put that recipe on the backburner until Fall. I would post a picture of my container gardening going on this year but I think I'll save that for when everyone needs a REALLY good laugh.

Anything besides a bill in the ole mail box is nice, indeed. What a wonderful and nice treasure to remember your trip by. I love the colors on the bowl, very pretty.
