And it has side pockets too....

Get comfortable....I have lots to share.

First off, I haven't started the sewing project yet...

Instead I had a ball of yarn that needed to be used (I have several balls of yarn waiting) but this one needed to be used to complete the project - I STILL have some left...now what? I'm thinking baby leg warmers may be just the answer.

You can get a peek at some of
my stash in the mirror
Remember the pink baby sweater I made a couple of weeks back? Well, since I used rabbits buttons...I thought this would be a good match.

What do ya think?? Leg warmers too?

I went to Michaels craft store Friday night after work and bought some simple cotton for a couple of dishclothes, cotton for a market bag (I make them and giving them away...I think this one is destined to live in Sacramento - I tried calling to see what colors she likes but she didn't answer the phone). One day I'll keep one for myself - they are pretty handy for all sorts of things.
Anyway, I also bought some yarn for a new cupcake hat......it is going to be a good one - you'll need to check back in a couple of days....I don't think you'll be disappointed. Colorful and Fun!!

So, I started the weekend shopping for yarn on Friday and continued shopping Saturday morning....

I went here......

And I bought this......

It was on sale - my daughter said she wouldn't have bought it on sale or not....don't you love the honesty of children? First she said she doesn't like orange and continued to say she didn't like the birds....I'll know better next time to ask what she thinks. What she doesn't know is that next time we have lunch together in public....I'm wearing this skirt and telling everyone I'm her Mom....

I like it.... it fits.... it'll look fine when I buy a red cardigan and cute flat shoes....
and I'm going back for more when the new Fall styles come in. This will be my season of skirts....:)

While dressing I looked in the mirror and saw my hair, it looked like I flew to the mall on a broom....

Not a comb or brush is ever in my purse, I passed four women who were shopping together who could have passed as the Housewives of Orange County from the television show. One smiled at me as if she were thinking "thank God I don't look like her" look on her face, I smiled back and took my "sale skirt" to the cashier.

I laughed because neither the "outside me" or the "inside me" could care a less about my appearance and those women looked like they spent a great deal of time preparing for their day of shopping. They sat in the dressing room chatting and trying on clothes telling each other how wonderful they looked in the new outfits.
Granted, they did look good....but really....who needs that?
Those dressing room mirrors speak loud and clear - every flaw right there in full length...

I'd rather slap on an apron and fix this...

The Peach Melba Shortbread bars, I posted the recipe a couple of days back....they're still too hot to cut into bars...good thing, I think I'd eat too many!!! How would they be with vanilla ice cream??? Nope...no can do...the "sale skirt" won't fit.

this is just the topping
you should see the finish dish....tomorrow.
See this????? It's a new meatloaf recipe...I'll post the finished photo tomorrow...along with the progress of the cupcake hat.

Oh my...I just took the meatloaf out of the oven...it's a whopper!!! Dinner after work tomorrow night is going to be tasty. I like to bake on Sunday's to get a jump on the work week meals - dinner's ready ten minutes after you walk through the door - after that....the evenings mine.

See ya soon..have a great Monday...!!!
