All Around Wet....

It rained.....all day.....so out came my water boots....for only the second time since I bought them

And on went the gloves......

And out came the shawl.....

I looked prepared for a winter soaking....or...a walking advertisement for "yes, I like to knit"

I did wander through Target on Saturday looking for wooden chargers and was asked if I made my scarf.

She said "it's beauuuuutifulllllll"....I enjoyed it the entire day...and night (we gave a lift home at midnight and the scarf was on...I love that and the fact I was awake at midnight - made me young and 20ish again"
....and that's probably the last I'll see it until sometime in 2013....that's when it'll rain again.

A trip to the thrift store looking for fabrics for my soon to be antique/flea market shopping basket..
I ended up with these two...I did find another but the jury is still out if it'll be cut up and included.

I looked on Ebay and Youtube hoping someone else had a pattern or ideas on how to do this...but...
apparently it's so easy peasy that I'm the only one baffled. Man In Black has suggested I cut squares and make a quilt type pattern....Pattern???? I got the "cut up squares" part...      I don't do patterns.
Patterns are created for people like me....that want to give money from their wallets in trade for step by step by step directions...perferably with lots of color pictures...and arrows....     and dot to dots.

We skyped with the Sicilian team....they all look happy and healthy...
Until I can hold this hand again....there are videos...pictures...
and we watch her grow through the screen of a laptop.

And of course....there's always knitting.
The February Lady sweater continues...slow but sure...including a few missing yo's and "what row is this?"
I'm wondering if this will look anything like the original when I'm done....if not...
It'll be called the February Lady's Cousin...

When the rain stopped,
I stepped out back to enjoy the ending blooms of this year's wisteria.
Soon the flowers will be gone...
replaced with new dense deep green leaves
shading the patio .....

enjoy your day....
see you soon friends

I thought of you Saturday when I looked across the street and saw a gorgeous patch of wisteria!

And, yay for you for wearing the shawl. It is lovely!

I'm new to your blog, but am guessing that sweet little hand belongs to someone very special. :-)

Your scarf is awfully pretty! It must have kept you nice and warm during our dreary, cold and rainy weather!

It rains a lot here, but I wonder why we don't wear boots, maybe it's due to the heat :)
The shawl looks great with your denim jacket and I'm glad that you enjoyed it after all.
Loved the bit about being young and 20ish again :)
Your fabrics for the basket are so pretty and the bright pink picks up the pink floral in the yellow fabric. How about using one fabric for outside and the other for lining? And if you make it longer at the top you can fold over the basket so that the lining will show. The basket is going to turn out great! By the way, this pattern seems do-able http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2009/05/basket-liner.html good luck!
I know what you mean about patterns. I am so lazy to think out the measurements that I finally tried sewing a french seam over the weekend after I found a tutorial that told me exactly the measurements for sewing the 2 seams. On hindsight, if I had sat down to think it would have taken 5 minutes and basic math to figure that out!

The scarf looks great with the denim, glad you were able to get out and sport some of your lovely knits around town. We got pounded with rain all weekend long. The photo of the hands is adorable, what a sweet moment captured. Love the boots, so cute and i have no doubt that you'll be rocking your hood with your fabric lined cart soon. Have a great week buddy!

I love your blog! I am such a wannabe knitter. Have mastered a few simple things, scarf, shawls, gloves. Hopefully you will keep me inspried. Thanks again.
