tiny knits

the trip to the beach to take surfing photos never happened..

at least not for me...the kids went with cameras and lenses in hand...

the weather report didn't bring the expected large swells ....
and the rain...well, it was a drizzle at best.

so instead I did this....
Shawl Collared Cowl By Alana Dakos
I'll post the link tonight!!!!

I'm hoping for some cool weather....otherwise - I see another knitted wear sitting in the drawer...:-(

and I'm making several of these.....

I have several of these in "the works" for baby shower gifts
a great way to use up bits of leftover yarns
and they knit up in a jiffy

double the yarn!!!!
size 8 needles
c.o. 14
knit the length of the hanger
poke the metal through the middle
fold over and stitch the bottom
decorate to your hearts desire

and next I'm going to start this.......

no, not make a baby....

the sweater!!!

and then???? well, like the saying goes ...."so much yarn ..... so little time"

how's your Christmas shopping coming?

if you're in the same boat as I am ..."so many things to complete.....so little time"

Oh I love the collared cowl, I could have used that last night when we were out :) And I love the covered hangers, they would make great gifts for my daughters and daughter-in-laws for their finer things, and the baby coat is darling. I'm not quite done yet on the shopping but I know what I'm getting, I'm going simple this year on the gift buying/making.

I am so jealous. I can't knit. Well, I can knit, but it takes me forever, and then I give up! hee!hee! Love your newest projects!

Oh! the cowl is so precious!
When I saw all the tiny things I thought you were going to give us exciting news...like a new grandbaby in the works;)
All very lovely, and great idea to have some gifts ready on hand!
