well, the laughs continued for another page in the book....
and then....
well....I don't want to spoil it for you so you'll have to read it for yourselves....
tonight I'm on page 36 and still enjoying it...
along with enjoying a great dinner made by Leah tonight I'm reading a bit more before lights out...
but before I say goodnight I want to show you what Steve has made for "Ariel" our little trailer...
inside in the kitchen space is a tiny sink....with a small pump faucet....
both of which we will most likely never use...
so...
often times campers will cover them up with a bread board or some such cover to add a bit more counter space..
so Steve cut a board....
sanded it....
rounded the edges....
and lead me to think that would be the finished product....
I should have known he'd take it up a notch to make "Ariel" just a tad more "special"...
on our first camping trip in Ariel last weekend the trailer was parked along a large meadow....
while playing a game of Scrabble and enjoying the campfire at the picnic table Steve must have been making mental notes to himself...
because he surprised me with this painting on the board we'll be using to cover the sink.....
it's a very special keepsake for me.....
and it makes me so grateful for this time together....
I think about all the wonderful life we've shared and all we've been given since he was sick 5 1/2 years ago....
we've changed since that experience...for the better....
it held a wonderful silver lining....

Gifts like these are the ones that warm our hearts and create even greater intimacy.
I love Mr. Bunny peeking around the tree.
So happy for you!
How very, very special..I bet it brought tears to your eyes or perhaps a lump in my throat (like I have reading this).
I tried to find the book on Amazon but couldn't..Is this the exact title "When Will It Be Good Again"?
