there's activity right up till lights out...

I should have told grandpa to change out of those dirty
pants after working in the garage before sofa sitting!!!

she was fast asleep before we made it to the half way point

seeing this photo reminds me to
fix the iron spoon that broke
off the leather tie on the wall....

we have a routine going in the evenings....

not started on purpose...

started because little people like to copy the things they see big people do....

and so with that in mind....

every night Zoe gets comfortable along side her Grandpa about 8:00 p.m. and
they enjoy a bowl of cereal together....minus the milk in Zoe's bowl but she doesn't notice that detail...

my part of the evening routine is our evening walk right after dinner...

she's quite tired by this time of the day and nods off while I push the stroller chatting about the birds and the colors of flowers ...

she's wearing a knitted hooded cape I made for her....and as soon as I can find the book where the pattern came from I'll post it...a couple of skeins of Cascade 220 and all garter stitch .... I'll find the pattern tonight and give you all the details...a super easy project!!!!!

while reading some of your blogs yesterday I came across one that,.... well....
without ever meeting this blogging buddy in person...I knew we'd be friends....
her dinner recipe was sitting on a plate I see daily in my own kitchen...
my childhood was spent eating off dishes from Kentucky...M.A.Hadley.....
my children's entire lives have included Hadley and so will my grandchildren (special occasions)
as they have become far too costly for everyday use for little hands....

even my sweet dog Annie eats from Hadley....

a few years back I asked in a teasing sorta way which of my kids wanted to inherit all the M.A.Hadley and they both answered in unison...."No"....they'll change their minds in time....

these dishes may seem like nothing more than silly looking Kindergarten drawings painted on a plate...

but they'll hold a lifetime of memory

Oh, I love the plates. And you're right, they will both change their minds!

How sweet are Grandpa and Baby? I love that picture. (even with the dirty jeans!!)

and, I love your evening routines and that you shared them!

That hoodie is almost as cute as the sweetheart wearing it!
I love the dishes, they each tell a story.
I am so happy about your sweet, cozy new schedule.
What precious memories you are making:)
