mission…75%

there's been a bustle of activity here in the last 48 hrs....

the shopping mall, the beach, paint brushes, movies, restaurants, ...

packing boxes, Food Network, antique shopping,  sunrise walks, knitting completed, lemon picking, neighbor visiting,  grocery shopping....

chicken photography, long distant phone calls and pizza....

when I say overdrive....well, let's just say I can get things done when I have the desire….

silly Sally, the leader of the chickens and largest of the chicks, well, she's entering a most awkward time in life...

she's part fluff, part feather and part bald....

she flies about the coop and yard acting quite certain she's an eagle rather than chicken....

the other two chicks try a weak imitation on the flight plan and than basically stay out of her way....

she knocked her head so hard crashing into the wooden ramp inside the coop she hopped sideways several times trying to regain her bearings....

they've enjoyed the last two afternoons spending the day outside exploring and learning the art of half walking, half hopping up and down the plank to the upper floor of their coop...

while the chicks explored, and the two neighborhood cats enjoyed watching chicken t.v. sitting outside the wired coop.  Inside the home I have three dogs, a cat, and moving boxes scattered here, there and everywhere....

add to that, a Christmas tree with fluff at the base that should be covering the tree stand instead torn to bits and looking more like assorted scattered clouds than a blanket of snow....

a vintage Santa that no longer has hands thanks to the dog "Dear Gwen" (she'll be gone soon with our daughter who's moving out for the second go-around of "living at home with Mom & Dad)

the mall holiday bags litter the bedroom floor..... the oversized cardboard box with four week old chicks fills to capacity the kitchen floor space ......

visions of possibilities like sugar plums dance in my head as I regain my footing and the balance of life is on the horizon….

scattered boxes gone, livestock living outside, a place for everything and everything in it's place….

family, friends, gardens, a gathering .....

this coming year will be one of rediscovery….

What a lovely full life..blessing upon blessing.
The chicks go through some funny looking phases and some classic antics too always up to something.
Have fun! xo

Sounds like the rhythm of life is good over there. Love that chicken TV, one of our favorite things to do here. Looking forward to seeing next year through your lens.
