the tomato roasting was put on hold until tonight…
or tomorrow a.m. when it's a bit cooler to have the oven on…

instead I had success in finding the missing item for the hat so on today's lunch hour I'll attach them and show you in the next post…

of course,
I couldn't seem to manage leaving the store without purchasing a couple of skeins of cotton…
I justified it by saying I need new kitchen washcloths….which is the truth…
and this new cotton will add the bit of happy color missing from a sink full of dishes…
I have a perfectly working dishwasher….but I prefer to wash by hand

the weekend plans are many…
including cleaning up the garden…

I hope to have a couple "lil chicks" helping me….
tiny hands from Zoe and Lilly picking off the remaining grape tomatoes…
the hens will be right there with them scratching and peeking the bugs unearthed as we tug and pull..

speaking of grapes…
this bowl was the crowned winner of the very best, EVER I've tasted….perfect!!!
I don't know where they were shipped from…only $.99 / lb at my local market…

every single green jewel was a burst of summer goodness…the perfect summer snack

enjoy your day…
cash in my pocket…
food on the plate…
two little girls visiting me soon….

life is good….

if I can figure out how to make a video I'll show you the
tomato roasting event...

the last of the large tomatoes…
perfect for roasting and puree for Fall soups and stews

see you soon with my Farmers Market hat….

All your produce looks wonderful! Our tomatoes are finally coming in...and just as they have begun to ripen the plants have begun to die! We may have a lot of fried green tomatoes in our future - lol. Enjoy your weekend.
