last you read I was planning a quick get away to the lake...
well, life went as planned and I went...
and it will be remembered as one of the beat trip's I've ever had out there...

and without a doubt, the most expensive ... but that was my choice so no complaining...

Lil Zoe wasted no time in giving the morning directions for the day to begin eating breakfast lakeside
we had the best table in the house...
followed with a personal training session in how to throw skipping rocks...
Pint sized Annie entertained herself fetching sticks showing off her brave side without her lifejacket...

how many conversations had Steve and I had over the years wondering if we would have our children's children with us one day on the lake?

it was a grateful day to be sure...

of course...there are those who were missing ...

beginning with Zoe's Mommy Leah who was enjoying a trip in Santa Barbara...

and sister Jaclyn who rarely makes a trip with us....

one day little cousin Lilly will be bobbing in the lake alongside Zoe....

we had barely excited the freeway (did we even make it to the red light?) after a four hour drive back home when Zoe said she wanted to go back..

"right now"...which was pretty amazing from someone who spent her time strapped in a carseat and hadn't seen Mommy for two days...

she was already talking about another ride in the golf cart, riding in the boat...and a new swimming pool under the carport....all activities sure to happen on her next trip out...

when you have a four year old asking for a round trip four hour carseat ride???

you know it was a successful weekend!!!

I'll show you what we did after breakfast on the lake tomorrow...

wonder what the first thing Zoe thought about today?.... Mommy? when can we go to the lakehouse?
