we're half way thru the year....
do i dare say that there's still Christmas candy in the vintage jars and an Easter basket still out?

it hasn't been a banner year for me...

even though I did actually sew myself banners...
maybe thinking if they were hung up and waving.....things would change

there's been too much...of "too much"...for too long....

thankfully...there's a light ahead...

hubby is a hero and works daily to finish the oversized..over due...over budget trailer project....

every time a box, trailer window or trim piece is removed from inside the house...
a breath of relief is made...

we are closer than ever of having our backyard back again...
the tiny trailer will roll...or be pushed and tugged and tempers flaring again out through the alley...

where only a dead dry yard will remain...

the perfect setting for ripping down the existing patio cover and replacing it before Fall...
that's such a joke really....Fall
we have no Fall in Southern California...
it's all one long sunny day after another....all year long

I bought a light weight jacket three years ago....it's never been worn

our heater in the house....was never turned on last year....

I suppose this is really the reason I want to go camping....
so I can wear a jacket and have a reason to put on a pair of snugly warm shoes...

hubby is on board with the plan...
and a trip is in the works to visit a place he's always wanted to see...

there are few places and things he EVER asks for....
and I don't want this life experience for him to pass without seeing it...
that would be too sad and really...
no excuses would justify when we only have one shot around this lifetime...
if someone really really really wants to see a place....
well then, they should see it ... even if it is a giant hole in the ground...

so The Grand Canyon it is...

we'll research the best sides...camping locations and month to go....
we did fly over in a small private plane (my surprise to him after recovering from an illness)...
where we scanned, turned...high and low for hours the canyons and followed the river....
he even had his hands on the "wheel"...which he quickly returned to the pilot....

but it's not like being there...boots on the ground as they say...

so 2016...will include a very large canyon....
and hopefully a much cleaner house with holiday decorations stored,  a flower pot or two under the patio cover, and rain fall....lots and lots of rainfall...

and....I think the jacket that's been on the hanger three years???
will have the tags cut off and worn....do I even still like it?

I see in the future...
four chairs...
two martini glasses....

and a couple of trailers sitting side by side...
one owned...one rented and delivered and set up by a local company...

and four very happy people....
