after checking in the hotel...
window shopping and photography...
we were ready to eat...

I mentioned how dog friendly Sedona was....
so picking and enjoying a quiet dinner with Annie along was no problem at all...

I smiled when we asked the waitress if there was a table available on the patio...
she said "patio?"...smiling back she asked.."she's a service dog?...so a nice table inside?"...
I laughed and said.."yes, she's certainly is a service dog....the waitress said..."soon mine will be a service dog too laughing over her shoulder as we followed her through the restaurant...How's this table?" a quiet table with a view of the courtyard, hills and corner fireplace..."perfect" I answered...and it really was...the perfect location for an intimate meal...
and the other diners around us?....could have cared a less that Annie was party of our party...

laughing I thought about our daughter who is the BIGGEST animal lover I know...
this is her tribe...these people living in Sedona...
shops, restaurants, hotels...all open and welcoming to the family pets..

we replayed the drive, shopping and next day's plans over dinner...
all the while...Annie slept quietly on my lap...
the perfect traveling dog..

she's going to be a hard example to follow for new puppy Dori who will be arriving home soon...
just a handful of weeks from now...

content and full from a day's adventure...
the landscape beautiful..the sky star filled...
we called it a day and headed to our room...#510....late evening, t.v. viewing & snacks packed...

from sunrise to sunset...it was a perfect day...

tomorrow we'll repeat another relaxing day...
and then back to the lake....
there's peace and quiet waiting....
