oh good grief.... the condition of my little cottage...
the yard so long neglected while the camping trailer restoration was underway....
of course, this has now caused a long list of Fall projects, most of which are reasonable...

there's more to the messy yard than shown here...
in addition, a large iron gazebo that I just HAD to have while shopping at a nursery, then hauled it home to watch it continue to rust piled against the garage wall for three years...

dreams of blooming flowers, vines, and a beautiful new chicken coop swirl constantly like a washing machine in my head....keep the jacuzzi??? or remove it...

one day the vote is to keep it...this morning...haul it away....

my heart leaped with joy when I found one misplace matching skein of yarn last night to finish off the latest baby blanket project...casting off today and then hurrying to make a little pumpkin hat to go along inside the baby shower gift box...

my day started long before the sun came up...
turned on the stovetop...and cooked up a skillet of sausages and onions for tonights dinner pasta casserole...
it was somewhere between chopping and the sounds from the sizzling pan that I decided what I want to do when I retire...
I want to find a job in a restaurant..you know, the small breakfast cafe type where I can go in before the sun and fry potatoes...
there is such a sense of peace that comes to me from a stove...
I don't have a desire to eat the food...just cooking it and enjoying the process...

the hens...they want to hear more about the new chicken coop plans....

large enough to walk inside...have mist for the summer heat....and SWINGS!!!!

but for now...it's going to be mass plantings of sweet peas and a plan for the mud that will surely be created in a matter of minutes if the forecasted rains this year really do appear....

enjoy your long weekend ahead...
there's a pantry here that needs attention..thankgoodness for blurry photos...
weeds to remove and gardening pots to wash...

and a nice big pile of long forgotten dusty Cottage Gardening magazines to review..
isn't that the best?  when you have the beginning of a new season and everything is possible?

here's to new seasons!!!!...enjoy a labor free weekend...

Happy September, it seems like time is flying by. I have much to do around my house also. I am trying hard to get it all done, but it just seems to multiply. Hugs to you and have a great weekend,
Meredith
