we continued our drive through the pines, the twisting road, the cooler air...
it felt heavenly leaving the humid 108 degrees of Havasu....(our little trailer away from home)
every town sign we passed I had my face pushed against the passenger window asking "what do you think of this area?"..
the answer was always the same..."it's nice"
over the last several years living in Southern California there's been a growing desire to move away...
tired of the traffic, high cost of living...the tourism
everything a person could want is available in Southern California...so why do I constantly think of leaving?
when relatives visit the area...they want to come back..the last visitors said repeatedly they wanted to find jobs and move there....well, it has everything so why wouldn't they want it?
for me...it's all become too much...
so these road trips are the perfect solution...

my search for real estate didn't take long...hubby was pleased as punch these two shacks weren't For Sale...I thought they held tons of potential..all he saw was backbreaking work and expense...

we enjoyed a picnic lunch of homemade meatloaf sandwiches on Happy Birthday paper plates taking in the beauty...(nobody's birthday...just the first that came out of the cluttered Havasu cabinet)
a bit more driving of twisting guardrail free mountain edge cliffs and holding of breath...
and we were soon checking into a hotel where Annie was welcomed with WIDE open arms and given dog biscuits and water bowl of her own...

welcome to Sedona...
it's as pretty as I've been told....
and by far the the most dog loving town I've ever seen...
stay with us....I want you to see a bit of the area too...

Great photos, love the little cabin and the red rocks. Fifth picture made me smile... is that the Slide Creek area? My kids had a blast playing there during a family vacation when they were young. Fun memories!
