the knitting list of projects is getting longer by the hour...
plopping myself on the sofa with a tall glass of raspberry lemonade, three dogs, a cat behind my head and hubby close by....
the television lit up with whatever the favorite show is for that night of the week...

ceiling fan spinning...
laptop with headphones plugged in...

we catch a couple of hours together after a long day...

we're in the same room...but definitely operating in different worlds...

his is calm..focused on the simplest of activities....one at a time...
mine spins like a child's toy top on the floor..ever changing...
never stopping until it falls over

basically...I go through life with a headache....
crashing through each hour with ideas that never end...

the bell peppers were made...
the sweet peas and lavender are ready and waiting for Saturday..
the mulch...rethinking that entire idea

up early and out of bed before the sun today..
I pulled from under the bed storage bins stuffed with wool in search of 550 yards...
matching. worsted weight, appealing....
I came up with zip....

oh, there's plenty of wool....just not what I was hoping to find

there's a yarn shop 22 minutes from my workplace...
I've never been..
the Yelp reviews....excellent

why haven't I been?
because of the countless bags, bins, and project bags scattered throughout my house...

hum?...22 minutes there...22 minutes back...that's 16 minutes to shop.. = one lunch hour
yup, I should be able to find 550 yards in 16 minutes....

my work table is cluttered....I've only cast on a swatch for the featherweight cardigan...that certainly doesn't count me in with the KAL...
there's a pending scarf..still searching for a pattern on that one..
meanwhile...on the floor....there's an attack on a stuffed bear underway

and a little four year old who can't wait to come back and visit Nana again...
oh wait...who am I kidding....?
a four year old who can't wait to come back and visit our protector from stuffed bears...

enjoy your day...the entire weekend ahead....and may your home be safe from fluff
