Ribs in the A.M.? Sure!!!!

Sometimes I even surprise myself -

5:45 a.m. (yes, I'm an early to bed, early to rise kind of person)

Cut up your favorite pork or beef ribs, place in ziplock plastic bag

Mix together in a bowl: 1 cup of orange juice, 1/2 bottle soy sauce, three handfuls of brown sugar

Pour liquid mixture into bag with ribs, mix to cover ribs, leave in frig over night.

Prepare cookie sheets - cover with heavy foil, extra long on sides to catch drippings.

In the morning:
Turn oven to 350 degrees, remove ribs from plastic bag, discard the liquid, place ribs on cookie sheets, bake for 30 minutes, turn ribs over, bake another 20 minutes, turn ribs over. Baste using a brush or spoon (I use a small paint brush) with your favorite barbeque sauce over the ribs, put into oven for another 15 minutes or so until the ribs look saucy and brown. When the foil on the cookie sheets have cooled, roll them up and out to the trash cans - the cookie sheets are perfectly clean, no sticky mess of sauce and grease to clean up!!

Cool for about 30 minutes and put into the frig until dinner time to reheat....

Ok, let's take a look, at 5:45 a.m. the oven's turned on and by 7:30 the ribs are in the frig until dinner and I'm out the door to go work, husband comes home and I'm serving up ribs before 6:00 p.m. He's looking at me like "honey, you're my hero".

If you're a lucky stay at home bride, you can wait until dinner time to prepare or use the early morning time table if hot weather is an issue, I'm not a user of the old gas grill outside - last time I nearly set my hair on fire and that was all it took for me to head inside to my gas oven....

have a great day,I hope if you do decide to try out this recipe you and your family will enjoy it....

Mmmmm, what a yummy summer supper recipe!
I will certainly have to try.
I know what you mean about the grill,it frightens me,though I have never had an unfortunate incident such as yours!
Luckily, hubby likes to grill,so it works our fine.
Have a lovely day!
