Welcome to my porch......

Someone please tell Mother Nature that it's FAll....the temps will be toasty hot today, in the high 90's, these are the days in Southern California that make the fireman stay on their toes....

I'm looking forward to rubarb becoming available (Hesper shared her recipe and I've been waiting to give it a try) and putting some in the freezer too, limited availability.

Here's the finished litte baby hat for a baby shower next weekend, just in time to wrap it up and off into the mail on Monday. I took the little rabbit suit to my Wednesday afternoon knitting group and everyone thought it was pretty darn cute: it's heavy, super soft, but everyone commented on the weight of the suit. When the bear is finished and stuffed and inside the suit it will be perfect for little hands to feel, squish, and love....I'll have it done by tomorrow evening if anyone would be interested in checking back and seeing the finished toy.

Today, it's all about gardening. Those bulbs will be planted, I have some fun seeds to plant today. A friend gave me mini pumpkins on tiny branches, I should have planted awhile back but that's the nice thing about living in California, the weather is just about perfect to plant year round.....the draw back, the weeds are also plentiful year round.

Have a great Saturday.....I think I can fit a couple more gourds and Indian corn on the porch, I just hope the mailman can maneuver without landing face first on to the walkway, sorry postal workers, I'll go light on the Easter decorations.

Your porch is so GREAT! I know I cannot believe how HOT it is today. The musican man has a gig in HB tonight and I am definitely looking forward to a cool night. Your are so flipping funny, I laughed out loud at the end. I bet your mailman will like the porch too, it is fall afterall and who doesnt like that? Easter, well we shall see.
Happy Saturday Kyle!
