He's 100%

The drive out was completely unproductive....everything I attempted to knit was later ripped out. I kept bouncing from one project to another dissatisfied with what I was seeing on the needles. When we go away I take several different yarns and needles with me, is it the same for you too?

After unpacking most of what I shoved into my bags this is what I ended up with.

Do I dare tell you what time it was on the clock while I was enjoying that margarita? Let's just say - no where near 5:00 p.m.

He's a cute little bear, I added a tufted of hair on top and a cotton tail on the back. My finishing stitches are questionable so I've set aside extra yarn and cotton tail in the event this little guy is ever loved by small hands (that would be the greatest compliment). The pattern can be found in the latest copy of Debbie Bliss Knits magazine. This bear turned out a bit larger than the one in the pattern (mine is 12 inches). I used an alpaca/acrylic blend from the local craft store and larger needles, figured "who cares what size this little guys turns out to be" and only needed one skein of each color.

Another week with weather forecast in the 90's......will I be able to wear the new small triangle scarf I'm knitting with my denim jacket? It's looking really doubtful friends.....I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will be short heat wave and keep on knitting......I'm hoping for a trip back to that fun swapmeet this coming weekend - have a good week everyone, back to my office desk and the lunch hour knitting sessions. Enjoy your week!!!

I agree the heat needs to take a break. I think we all had a feeling that it might be an Indian Summer for us. Sort of a bummer because I am really over the heat and looking forward to cooler days. Your table is so fun! Look at all the possibilities and projects in process, excellent! Hope you guys had a nice trip. Have a great week my friend and happy knitting!
oh p.s. I LOVE the bunny tail... SO cute

Love the bear! I always take several projects along with me....I've never ever gotten them all done, but it's good to be prepared!

Cute bear! I'm a crocheter. To me, crocheting is like checkers while knitting is like chess - difficult! I always ended up with this long string in between each needle. And the instructions! Ugh. You are obviously a PRO! I'm working on a granny square afghan. We'll see how long it takes! Ha! It's been 2 years so far... :o) Oh well, I'll get there eventually.

The bear's got a cute "love me" face :) He's a bear in a rabbit suit? Adorable!
I usually take one project with me, something that is quite mindless, no complicated counting of rows, increases or decreases. So it's usually a sock or a shawl.

He's adorable!!!! Love the tuff of hair you added ;)

So you live near Disneyland ~ you lucky thing you - LOL

Loved seeing all your pics. My favorite ice cream is also B&R and I still order the same flavors since forever - chocolate chip and jamoca almond fudge.

Hi, thanks for stopping by Foziewisp! I see you must have come over from my pal Robin's fab blog? Love. That. Bear. I'm a just-past-beginner knitting (moving beyond squares and rectangles!). I started a Christmas stocking in October. Of 2009. I don't know how to turn the heel, so I'm hoping to go to my LYS and get some assistance! Love those doggies, too...so cute! You must be right up the road from us up there in OC, yes?
