Falling.....in love with a town

next to the book store......yarns!!!

this is their idea of a traffic signal
nice....

one of my favorite places
to shop in a near by town,
yup - this is a store
a morning walk.....

train travel into Chicago for the locals

the town has it's own lake
iceskating in the winter
cardboard boat races on the 4th of july
Let's begin with a few pictures around town....

wonderful trees,

the folks in town really get into the Halloween decorating,

See the little child house behind the goblins????
I played in that when I was four.
a walk around the town lake.....

there's even a train station....

enjoy your day...

I'll be back shortly with more stuff....yarn, books, patterns....food...I'm thinking I should start with food since I'm currently hungry....all from Trader Joe's which brings me to this thought.

If you shop trader joes...what do you like to buy?  The Hawaiian Bag Knitter and I are always interested in knowing what others love from Traders....
Years ago when my kids
were small I did a bit of sewing
I made these for my grandmother
the upstairs master bedroom
the closet door on the right
grandpa's cedar lined
one of very few memories
I have of him
the diningroom window ledge
the house outside??
the original farmhouse
See you tomorrow - I'll keep the pictures coming, after all, it's the pictures we like to see most, right?

I guess the old saying "you can never go home", sure doesn't apply to you. How wonderful that you have such solid roots and memories that you can keep visiting over and over again. Thanks for taking us along.

Beautiful!
What a lovely homey town.
I love that the book store and yarn store are right next to eachother!
I would never have to leave that street:)

I was just at Trader Joe's buying candy for my BUNCO party. Their miniature peanut butter cups are delicious! I also buy coffee there, peanut butter pretzels, balsamic salad dressing, pita crackers, and all sorts of good things! It's an easy place to find something to buy!
