Let's just say it's on the needles...I usually knit for awhile until I get an idea of how it's looking than decide...

Remember the pretty blue flowers I planted over the weekend? The one I've dubbed "my new favorite"
It's a oxypetalum 'heavenborn'.....haven't a clue what to expect..I bought it because I love the color...
My approach to gardening is: I like the look, doesn't look formal, smells pretty, it's welcome to the soil
Hodge podge, non formal, a bit wild, and only the hardest survive best describes my yard

Once on the way to the car I mentioned how much I loved the lavender poking through the split rails with busy bees visiting purple blooming shafts.....he said "enjoy it, it's getting trimmed when we get back"
Not everything is chopped...it's a happy compromise...and he's so darn handy I don't dare rock the boat and insist on having my way.
In a couple of days it'll be time to peddle to the farmers market again....remember I was dreaming of wearing a poncho while riding on cool summer evenings?
When I ran the idea past Man In Black his eyebrow shot up and the expression was anything but in agreement that I should wear one....
I think he had visions of something from Butch Cassidy
When I told him it was for bike riding and would have buttons he warmed up to the idea of being seen with a woman in a poncho
Pam...I'm thinking you should rock the roads of Sacramento ..... the poncho wearin' dogwalker

Man In Black gave it to me...to weigh my yarn.....so I'll know how many grams I have when
beginning a project when the label is long gone and only a partial skein is left behind

Much more fun weighing yarn than portions of food

I love those blue flowers...they look like they were dipped in food coloring...so pretty...I do most of the gardening here...I love it!
What a pretty name for a flower. I'm in awe of people who can grow gardens. I still haven't got over my grief from killing a beautiful orchid someone gave me last year.
By the way, I have a stripey wool poncho that I knitted 6-7 years ago and I wear it in my air-cond office and to the uni classes that I teach. Hmm so far no one has commented on it before, they're probably too polite, although I have come across many raised eyebrows the first time they clap eyes on my poncho. But they soon get used to it. Seriously, I think it would look way cooler worn while biking, the idea of a poncho flapping in the wind appeals to me. Pity I don't have a bike and it's too hot to wear a poncho outdoors here. My daughter must take after me in the fashion sense because she's been asking me to sew her a cape!
i like capes! i really like the cape in your post and it looks really good on the gal wearing it~but when i put on a cape, i feel well.....like i look silly~

Your garden is looking beautiful these days and your new addition of blue is wonderful. I love the bucket and flag photo. I think the poncho is cool in a groovy bike riding to the market kind of way. I can see you there by your bike with your cloth bags bag full of produce.
As far as knitting i think it's great you at least cast on for baby Z's blanket. I on the other hand have been spending all my time outdoors and the only wip i have is a dish cloth, so sad i know...
Thanks for your kind words over at my blog. I love the idea of a poncho, especially for riding a bike. Ponchos are underrated, so practical and warm!
