thursdays thoughts

it's official…..

the Christmas knitting is underway….

a new baby Jack was born this week to childhood friends of my kids….

so a quick trip to the antique side table and off went a receiving sized blanket and newborn beanie…
(I love when I can pull from my completed projects and pass along to others)….

last night's dinner…..in my favorite bowl from my trip a few years back to Door County, Wisconsin…

but what I really loved about dinner?….. was that when I went to the kitchen to dish up my meal…

and looked in the cupboard for my dish and wondered where it was….

Steve answered, "on the counter"…..saying, "you always use that for spaghetti"…

I love that he knows my favorite dishes to use….

truthfully, I love using the dishes more than what's usually on the menu….

in fact, I was just thinking last night about the pottery I hope to find on our upcoming trip to Portland…

Pam, I'm thinking long and hard about that…the food, the yarn shop, the brewery, the food (oh, I already said that….the food, oops)…

the cowls that maybe should be knit for wearing while hiking and martini drinking….

have a great day…for me?  it's back to work…tomorrow at 5:00 p.m….

my favorite time of the week…..freedom!!!!

I think 30+ plus years make setting the bowl on the counter for spaghetti instinct. Last week we went to the mall to pick up shoes, Tom parked by Crate and Barrel, as we entered I asked him what he was going into the store for. He said "You always enter the mall thru C & B, even if what you need is clear on the other side!" Made me smile!
