Let's talk about Ariel….

there was a time when the thought of ever selling her would never be considered..
I would have kept her for the remaining years of my life...
as if she loved me the way I loved her…

but if I kept all the things I've loved in my life…
and others did the same?
there would be no chance for me to have experienced the joy of Ariel…
she would belong to someone else…

by letting go I've made room for something new to come in my life…
Ariel has been the perfect trailer for me when I needed her most..
a starting place…
I stepped out into the world alone…
risking traveling without my partner,
meeting women in a club I'd never had any contact with before,
discovering things about myself I'd never seen…

Steve and I made memories with Ariel…
added adventures to our life time shared…
the experience was far more than had been expected

and now it's time for Jenni and Chris to experience the joy that little 6' x 9'
vintage two wheeled Silver Baby…

will I miss her? yes
will I see her again? yes
will I regret selling her?….it's doubtful

because I'll remember that she once belonged to someone else and they let her go so I could take a memory or two to include in my life

the new trailer?
it needs work..
there'll be memories made between father and son as they restore it's birch wood and freshen the paint
the younger generation will show the older electrical wiring..
the older showing the younger woodworking skills

in time this trailer will take on a personality, and hopefully a name
it's wheels will spin the entire coastline of the Western United States
the Sister's will welcome and compliment it regardless of style or condition

and the new trailer?
will stay with me a bit longer than Ariel…

the red Cardinal's been parked and waiting for 12 years for someone to take her back out on the road
we're looking forward to trips, both near and far
and tucked inside you'll be able to find photos of Ariel
she's part of our life

and when I pass Jenni on the road while we drive to our Sister events?
well, she's going to be grinning just as I did
with a Silver Baby trailer tucked close behind that's been loved by many since 1960….
