we visited the preschool after work last night to see where Zoe spends her days...
artwork pasted on walls, paper cutouts dangling from ceilings.....stamped cats filling window space...
the small chairs and small children reminded me of happy days....

my next crafting project only made it as far as the ironing board last night...
on the floor sits the portable sewing machine, hopefully tonight the top comes off and I actually use it

the colors are bright.....
intentionally selected to bring a bit of attention to the hens spaces, whimsy while gardening and collecting the Easter colored eggs...
it's doubtful I'll stop with side of the house...
with Summer coming soon....
why not include the birch tress in front with a few colorful pendants?

small swirls dangling and twisting in the wind, groups of three...
perfect for the pair of birch and just the right size project for the preschooler...

great grandma enjoyed the scissor task of pendant cutting...
maybe tonight she'll offer to cut the dozens of hearts for the trees?

both sides of the life cycle....
young and old...
wanting to be included and given a task to join in and have a useful purpose...

a couple of newborn sized baby hats can be added to the drawer, saved for the day when I hear of a baby boy new to the world....
of course, it's baby girls I have been told are coming later in the year so my stash of completed projects is in need of pinks....
wouldn't you know, when I only finish a fraction of what I cast on would be browns and blues?

so out come the pinks, yellows, greens and purple in the yarn piles...
today begins a white fluff, big bow, over the top sweetness, perfect for a girl....or twins?.....

and Zoe's surprise??...when will I get that finished?....Mom's vest???...geez, it's really time I get my groove on track and finish them....super cute and long overdue....

the weekend is coming soon....and the heat.....perfect for a movie, the sewing machine...
and a long afternoon of crafts....

How wonderful that great grandma is involved in the crafty process. It is so true. Having purpose each and every day means so much. Good luck with all your projects. Tammy
