last weekend's camping trip was supposed to be "just camping"....
in the past they've always ended up being camping, shopping, tours, and restaurants...
everyone agreed....
nothing but relaxing while camping this time around....

there were simple classes set up for anyone interested in trying a new hobby...
beads, ukulele lessons or knitting...
all to be done while sitting lakeside in a camping chair and wearing pajamas all day if so inclined...
and some were....several in their pj's all day long...not even a hairbrush is required on these trips...

after a half dozen new knitters took up the needles...
there was a bonus, a trip to an adorable yarn shop down the road past more than a dozen beautiful wineries...(yes, I know this was supposed to be a shop free, no town camping trip)...
but when they learned to knit...they wanted to see the varieties of fibers to begin their stash collections...

the mini skeins were Etsy purchases waiting for me when I returned home....
the Alegria are new to me....beautiful with perfect yardage for three new shawls...
all fingering weight and just right for warm Southern California weather...

besides the new stash enhancements,  I have several new patterns from Ravelry...
ten new stitch markers that I love and a growing list of podcast favorites...

and the bonus at the end of the day....
I came home to another envelope in the mailbox...

five more mini skeins...!!!!

I'm going to knit all my mini skeins....then I'll go back to my W.I.P's....

this memory blanket?.... super fun!!

this blog post ends with a very special birthday wish to Pam today...

we hope it's a great fulfilled day with cake and goodies and all a birthday should be....enjoy !!!!

see everyone again soon!!!

Who can resist yarn, even when camping I think new yarn is bonus present to take home and remember your trip. All of your new yarn is beautiful.
