another weekend over.....

this one will be recorded as productive in almost every area...

the monster television set that was never used in the bedroom....now gone

the monster dust rabbit...the word "bunny" can't be applied to what was hiding under it...now gone

the patio roof removal....underway to being gone

the backyard spa...hoping to be gone sooner than later

I frogged the sample test knitting gauge socks...

off the needles and in the kitchen sink for blocking went both my Atwood Shawl (the pattern is available on hueloco.com) and my first pair of socks...

while those soaked for awhile I went outside to take a serious look at the yard....

the planters are in need of attention, two trees need to be removed and replaced....

and the turf?...well, time will tell what the solution will be for that....

back inside, the television blared with bells from Family Feud while Mom watched and ate lunch so I continued with my Spring cleaning and turned my bedroom upside down ....

by bedtime that night, my bedroom was a sparkling cozy retreat with fresh flowers, clean bedding, and newly arranged lighting, just perfect for evening podcast viewing or a bit of knitting before "lights out"...

speaking of podcast viewing...I'm getting bored with it....

more and more, they are turning into watching someone opening their mail and what new project bag or skein of yarn they've received...it's beginning to feel like sitting at a baby shower and watching gift after gift being opened...how many times or colors can you see combinations of yarn?...

the projects are getting fewer and fewer and the inspirations are dwindling.....

and when I think about it.....how many shawls do people really wear?....in California?...

so shortly after casting off hubby's socks....I cast on another pair!!!

socks....toys, cardigan, memory blanket, Duchess shawl, all remain on my W.I.P.'s (works in progress) table and will keep me busy in the coming days...

my sewing machine sits waiting for another project bag and banners....

I'm planning to draw another three dozen triangles for Mom to cut for me this week....

I'm hoping she'll be a good sport and lend a hand (I think she enjoys having a little project to keep her mind busy and hands to work)

otherwise...I"ll be knitting, sewing and cutting....it's all good and fun

by the end of the day Sunday?....a homemade pizza was in order....

a quick change of clothes to get comfortable for a long night on the sofa with Chris and Oscar....

and by bedtime...I was pretty much over the entire Hollywood event and way too much talk about who is being cast in movies....or hearing them use the opportunity to spout their political views...

made me all the more happy I trashed the t.v. in my bedroom......

one last comment before ending the award season up the highway in Hollywood....

seriously, the costume design winner??? Mad Max over Cinderella??....did they even see the movie?

dirt, skin and Hannibal Lector mask wins over breathtaking fabric design from head to toe?

I was so frustrated I was forced to eat another slice of pizza.....
ok, I would have eaten it even if Cinderella won...we make amazingly great pizzas in our house!!
